Headsets
Maximum voice quality & full control
Whether in the office or at home, good audio quality is crucial for successful communication. A high-quality headset is essential.
The XPhone Connect softphone is compatible with a wide range of headsets from leading manufacturers such as Jabra, EPOS, Poly and Yealink. Below you will find headsets that we have extensively tested and officially approved. Clear, interference-free voice transmission is guaranteed with these devices.
You can also find out which functions can be controlled directly on the headset, e.g. answering and ending calls or muting (mute). You can find the relevant information directly under the respective manufacturer.
Please note:
The list of headsets is not exhaustive due to the large number of models on the market. We recommend that you test your headset yourself. Would you like to have an older model tested or do you have any questions? Please write to us at marketing@c4b.de.
EPOS
The XPhone Connect softphone is compatible with numerous EPOS headsets (formerly Sennheiser). Our team has tested all the models listed below for you. Voice transmission works perfectly with each of these headsets. You can control functions such as answer/hang up, mute, etc. in the Connect Client at any time.
In the following overview, you can find out which telephony functions can also be controlled directly on the headset.

- Whether the telephony functions can be controlled on the headset depends not only on the correct configuration, but also on the driver versions.
- If you would like to test the functionality in your specific IT environment, our sales partners will be happy to provide you with test licenses.
- You can also test headsets that have not yet been released with a test license.
- The headsets were tested on the basis of Windows 10. For older Windows environments, we recommend the use of a test version.
- C4B does not currently offer integration with the manufacturer's SDK, but it is recommended to install EPOS Connect in order to be able to install the latest firmware on the headset: EPOS Connect download page.

Jabra
Do you use headsets from Jabra? Good news: Many Jabra headsets are compatible with the XPhone Connect softphone - you will find a selection below. In combination with the softphone, the tested devices impress with clear voice transmission and a stable connection. Common functions such as answering calls, hanging up or microphone muting can be conveniently controlled via the XPhone client. The following overview shows which of these functions can also be operated directly via the headset.

Poly
Whether via USB or Bluetooth - the XPhone Connect softphone is compatible with a wide range of Poly headsets. The voice quality is consistently reliable with all supported models. Basic functions such as answering or ending calls, muting the microphone etc. can be conveniently operated at any time via the Connect Client. In the following overview, you can see which of these functions can also be controlled directly via the headset.

- Controlling the telephony functions directly on the headset depends on correct setup and the driver versions used.
- If you would like to evaluate the functionality in your IT environment in advance, our sales partners will be happy to provide you with a test license.
- The same applies if you would like to try out headsets that are not yet officially released.
- The headset tests were carried out under Windows 10. If you are using older Windows versions, we recommend using a test version beforehand.
- For the best possible operation, we recommend using the manufacturer's SDK.

Yealink
Yealink headsets are among the recommended devices for use with XPhone Connect. Various models - as listed below - have been successfully tested by C4B and impress with reliable voice transmission in conjunction with the softphone.
Standard functions such as answering calls, hanging up or muting can be conveniently carried out in the Connect Client. The following overview shows which of these functions can also be controlled directly via the headset.
Please note:
- The direct control of call functions on the headset depends on a suitable system configuration and the driver versions used.
- If you would like to check the integration in your specific IT environment in advance, our sales partners will be happy to support you with appropriate test licenses.
- We also recommend a trial for use in non-approved system environments or with older Windows versions.
- There is currently no specific SDK integration from C4B for Yealink. For compatible headsets, however, we recommend using Yealink USB Connect and updating the firmware:

Busylights
Visible presence for XPhone and Microsoft Teams
This is what everyday office life looks like today: Those who work from home do quiet work and online meetings. Those who are in the office, on the other hand, are usually automatically part of the social scene with a big "Hello" and "Can you just ... ". That's nice, but at the same time difficult for online meetings and phone calls.
That's why visual communication is a real plus, especially in open working environments, shared desk scenarios and open-plan offices. With Busylights, you can show colleagues at a glance whether you are currently available and avoid unnecessary interruptions.
XPhone Connect supports you with the automatic synchronization of your telephone client with the Busylight presence status. The following Busylights can be connected.
kuando Busylight
The kuando Busylight integrates seamlessly into XPhone Connect and visualizes your current presence status. As a status light, the Busylight automatically changes its colors according to your personal presence status and thus signals to colleagues whether you are available or do not want to be disturbed.
The Busylight is also perfectly suited for use with the XPhone Connect softphone: it signals missed calls and chat messages and can play ringtones for incoming calls. This reduces the average response time and makes your communication more efficient.
The kuando Busylight and XPhone Connect put your presence status in the right light.

The Busylight is configured in the client settings:
- Connect the Busylight to your computer via USB. Only one Busylight may be connected.
- Open "Notifications" > "Busylight" in the configuration.
- Select a use for the Busylight:
- Deactivated: Busylight is not used.
- Telephone & presence: Telephone status and presence status are signaled.
- Telephone: Only the telephone status is signaled (incoming call, ongoing call).
- Select a ringtone for the acoustic signaling on the Busylight.
- Adjust the volume of the ringtone.
- Check the melody and volume of the ringtone by clicking on the play icon.
- Save with OK.
- Close the configuration dialog with OK.

Conference phones
Perfect integration for hybrid meetings
Conference phones with excellent acoustics are indispensable when several participants are in the room or hybrid meetings are taking place. XPhone can be easily linked to your conference phones to ensure the best conditions for your office communication.

By the way: Even devices that have not been tested by us may well be compatible with the XPhone Connect softphone. If you want to put a missing model through its paces, we will be happy to provide you with test licenses.
Konftel
Make your communication even more flexible - with the combination of XPhone Connect softphone and conference phones from Konftel. Your benefit: you can not only make calls directly via your Konftel. You can also switch devices seamlessly with two clicks during the call.
For example: You are on the phone with your headset. The conversation moves in a direction that is also relevant for your colleague at the next desk. With the softphone, you can easily switch the call to your conference phone.

Poly Trio
Expand your communication options - by combining the XPhone Connect softphone with conference phones from Poly.
What this means for you: Not only can you make calls directly via your Poly Trio, but you can also seamlessly switch to another end device during an ongoing call.
A typical scenario: You are conducting a call via headset, but realize that your colleague at the next desk should also be connected. With just two clicks, you can transfer the call from the headset to the conference phone - without any interruptions or detours.
