Outlook 365 & Hosted Exchange

With Office 365 & Hosted Exchange there are basically the following scenarios:

Office package installed as a fat client on the PC/terminal server
Office package available as a web client in the browser

In this case, the Exchange server is not located in the company infrastructure (possibly only with Office 365 Business), regardless of whether it is Office 365 or a hosted Exchange scenario.

Fax reception If the Outlook fat client is to be used as a fax client, we recommend installing the XPhone Outlook Add-In. The add-in enables convenient fax preview and further processing in Outlook. However, even without the add-in, faxes can be received as normal e-mails with the fax as a PDF or TIFF attachment. Notes Web client If XPhone is used as a fax client, there are no functional restrictions ⁴. Faxes can be received as e-mail attachments in the Outlook web client.	✔	X *see note
Voicemail reception If the Outlook fat client is to be used as a voicemail client, we recommend installing the XPhone Outlook Add-In. The add-in makes it possible to listen to and process voicemail messages directly in Outlook. But even without the forms, voicemails can be received as normal e-mails with the voice message as a WAV attachment. Remote voicemail If the Outlook fat client is to be used as a voicemail client, the location settings for "Voicemail" (Integration > Use function in groupware client) and "Remote inquiry" (IMAP with StartTLS) must be configured in the XPhone Connect Server.
